For Dogs and Dog Lovers!
Don't miss the 4th Annual Beacon Barks!

Beacon Barks! is a collaboration between the Dutchess County SPCA and The Beacon Barkery to celebrate the role animal shelters and animal rescue groups play in our community. Through rescuing strays and rehabilitating abused animals they help promote the human-animal bond that enriches all our lives.

The Dutchess County SPCA and The Beacon Barkery proudly celebrate Animal Shelter Appreciation Day and invite you to join us for the 4th Annual Beacon Barks! Beacon is an incredibly dog friendly city filled with wonderful eclectic stores and restaurants and many stores invite in well behaved leashed dogs. It'a a day of celebration, a day to be outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of Beacon. After the Beacon Barks! parade, look for the "Your Dog Welcome Here" signs in the store windows and know that you and your best friend will be treated as welcome guests. Many stores will be offering specials that day and to keep you coming back for more, pick up a Beacon Barks! Bucks coupon booklet to keep the special savings going until December at participating Beacon storefronts.

Sit at a cafe table and order lunch for you and your best friend and enjoy live music. Stroll the street looking at all the other dogs and visit the booths with special dog related items. Maybe you'll even find a new best friend. Beacon Barks! is one of the largest venues for dogs (and yes, even some cats!) available for adoption in the Hudson Valley.

It's all for a good cause too, as this event supports the efforts of many animal rescue groups who will be collecting donations and perhaps provides the ultimate gift: a new home for a homeless dog.

Come on down and join us on April 24th from 11am-3pm and to see how you can help the homeless animals please visit How You Can Help.

Hope to see you there!

Meet at the west end of Main Street in Peace Park at 11am for Parade line up. Rain date is April 25.
